Program Overview

The LA County Household Relief Grant offered immediate financial assistance to households impacted by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires, helping bridge financial gaps and promoted the general welfare of affected individuals and families until insurance or government recovery resources became available.

The Program provided financial assistance to residents who were physically displaced or severely impacted. Eligible applicants include homeowners and tenants whose primary residence was completely destroyed, rendered uninhabitable due to severe damage, or households that experienced a death related to the fires and windstorms. Priority was given to households most in need, taking into account factors such as insurance status, social and economic vulnerability, health conditions, and loss of life.

Grants amounts were based on household size and composition. Funds may be used only for costs associated with unmet recovery needs resulting from the 2025 fires and windstorms that are not covered by other forms of assistance.
