The LA County PTAC is an economic development program of DCBA’s Office of Small Business. We provide one-on-one technical assistance, information, and training to small businesses in Los Angeles County to help them compete more effectively on federal, state, and local government contracts at no cost.
To participate in our program and connect with a small business counselor complete our online application and sign-up as a New Client.
What is the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)?
The Los Angeles County Department of Consumer and Business Affairs (DCBA) operates the Los Angeles County Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). The PTAC helps your business compete for government contracts by connecting you to:
Workshops to prepare you for the government contracting process
Local, state and federal contracting opportunities relevant to your industry
Training on how to market your goods and services to government buyers
Networking events to meet buyers
Individualized counseling on writing proposals, conducting market research, and more
Contact the L.A. County PTAC to speak to a small business counselor

Understanding what PTAC can do for you!
We can help you:
- Register on the System for Award Management (SAM), the federal government’s vendor database; and/or get on the General Services Administration (GSA) schedule
- Establish a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code
- Identify the relevant North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes for the goods and services you sell, which helps procurement buyers find you
- Get a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number
We can help you:

- Certify as a small business
- Use the California State Contracts Register (CSCR)
- Become a California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS) Contractor
- Market your business to state agencies
A Small Business Counselor can help you:
