The Los Angeles County Office of Small Business, part of the Department of Consumer and Business Affairs, will be hosting roundtable discussions with the business community about the Safe Sidewalk Vending Act.

Los Angeles County, which is developing sidewalk vending rules and regulations for unincorporated areas, is hosting separate discussions for brick-and-mortar businesses (along with community members) and sidewalk-vending businesses. Find an upcoming roundtable here.

The Safe Sidewalk Vending Act (California Senate Bill 946) was signed into law in September 2018. This law ends criminalization of sidewalk vending in California and allows local authorities to adopt non-criminal laws to protect public health, safety and welfare.
