DCBA, DHS, WDACS, and DMH Unite Against Hate 464 291 Consumer & Business

Together we stand firmly against the increasing acts of hate toward members of the Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in our county and across the nation. We remain fully committed to supporting L.A. County’s antiracist and anti-hate agenda, reducing the stigma around workers in the massage industry,  and supporting the recovery of those who have been emotionally impacted by recent devastating events.  We will continue to work together with clarity of purpose to support survivors of hate with wraparound services in a culturally and linguistically sensitive manner. Below are a host of resources available including emotional support.

How to Seek Help:

If you have witnessed or experienced a hate crime, please report it to the County’s Hate Crime Reporting portal here, or by calling 211.

Committed to welcoming, protecting and supporting the diverse ethnic communities of LA County, the Office of Immigrant Affairs is your one-stop shop for accessing health, public safety and legal resources. Visit oia.lacounty.gov or call (800) 593-8222.

Experiencing, witnessing or learning about acts of hate can be traumatizing and trigger a variety of negative reactions.  We encourage those who are impacted to check for signs of emotional distress, actively engage in self-care and seek help when needed to support their wellbeing.  The Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) Help Line at (800) 854-7771 is available 24/7 and can provide mental health support, referrals and resources across numerous languages, including but not limited to Chinese (multiple dialects), Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog and Khmer.  Additional resources and information for wellbeing can be accessed on LACDMH’s website at https://dmh.lacounty.gov/resources/.
